Moodbidri, Sep 2: A tragic incident occurred when a student was fatally hit by a car while returning home after his exams.

The victim, Aditya, was a 9th-grade student at Jain High School, Moodbidri, and the son of Ravi, a resident of Achharakatte in the Padumarnadu gram panchayat area.

After completing his exam, Aditya, along with his friends, was heading home. After alighting from a bus at Bannadka, he was crossing the road when a speeding car hit him. The impact of the collision threw Aditya into a roadside drain. The occupants of the car rushed him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries due to excessive bleeding.

Moodbidri police visited the scene and conducted an inspection.
