Kadaba: Scooter rider killed in collision with car

Kadaba, Oct 6: A scooter rider was killed after his two-wheeler was hit by a car near the old station on the Kadaba-Subramanya highway on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Hasan (57), who ran a paint shop in Kadaba town. Hasan was heading towards Kadaba when the car, approaching from the opposite direction, lost control and collided with his scooter. Severely injured, Hasan was rushed to the Kadaba community hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at Alangaru while being taken to Mangaluru for advanced treatment.

Hasan had previously worked at the Kadaba Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society before going abroad to the Gulf. After returning, he started a hollow block manufacturing unit and operated a paint shop. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.

Kadaba police have registered a case.

    So sad. Cars are at present killing machines on road to people who cross road or more scooter riders. May is soul rest in peace. Why should a severely injured person send to Mangalore? Instead keep nearby hospital till his condition stabilize? No such hospitals nearby? May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt sympathies to his family.
