Brahmavar: 12-yr-old eighth grade student ends life in Madarasa hostel at Heradi

Bharmavar, Oct 13: A student studying in eighth grade killed himself in a private school madarasa hostel at Heradi.

The deceased is identified as Mohammed Zahid (12), son of Rihana Begum. Zahid was studying in the eighth grade of a private school at Heradi and was residing in the Maalik Deenar Madarasa Hostel at Ranganakere of the taluk for the past four months. He had returned to the hostel on October 11 after spending his holidays.

As Zahid did not report for dinner at 9 pm, the hostel warden searched for him and found him hanging through the rod of the bathroom by a towel.

 He was taken to the Brahmavar community hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

A case has been registered in Brahmavar police station as mother of the deceased Rihan Begum has raised suspicion over her son’s death. It is learnt that the deceased was not willing to go to the hostel and he had a fight with other students in the hostel.
