Udupi: National Assessment and Accreditation Council peer team visits SMVITM

Udupi, Oct 18: National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on October 16 and 17 for the second cycle of NAAC accreditation.

The team was chaired by Dr Rajendar Singh Chillar, pro vice-chancellor of Om Sterling University, Haryana. Dr Anand Kumar Pandey of Symbiosis Institute of Technology and Dr Kishor Sukhantankar of Rathnagiri Sub-Centre of Mumbai University were the members of the team. The team inspected the various infrastructure facilities and verified the documents of the institute. Also, it interacted with the faculty/staff members, students, parents, alumni and employers.

The exit meeting of the NAAC peer team visit was held in the evening of October 17. In the exit meeting, the chairperson while addressing the faculty/staff members has appreciated the quality initiatives taken-up by the institute in the last five years.

The chairperson called upon the team to focus more on research and suggested to take all measures to enhance the technical skills, logical skills and communication skills of the students.

The team handed over the report to the principal, which contains the suggestions for the further upliftment of the institute. The dan (quality assurance) has thanked the NAAC peer team and the attendees of the meeting.
