Mangaluru, Oct 24: A woman police officer displayed an exceptional act of humanity when she rushed an accident victim to the hospital on her scooter early Wednesday morning near KPT.

Murshida Banu, a police officer attached to Kadri police station, was on night duty. At 4 am, while heading towards KPT, she came across an accident where a poultry transport pickup had collided with a stationary truck. The cleaner of the pickup was severely injured, and the driver, though injured as well, was unable to assist the cleaner.

Hearing the driver's cries for help, Murshida Banu approached the vehicle. With no auto-rickshaws available, she transported the injured cleaner to a nearby private hospital, holding him with one hand while riding her scooter. Upon arriving at the hospital, Urwa police station personnel assisted in getting the injured driver treated as well.

Murshida Banu promptly informed the Kadri traffic department, directing them to the accident site. Mangaluru city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal commended her for the timely assistance provided to the injured victim.
