Mangaluru, Oct 29: St Agnes kindergarten students enjoyed an exciting educational field trip, visiting three unique locations: a tiles factory, the cultural and art gallery in Kodialguttu, and Gandhi Park on October 18. This delightful adventure bestowed upon young minds practical experiences, weaving their classroom lessons into the vibrant fabric of real-world exploration.
The journey commenced at the tiles factory, where the children were introduced to the mesmerizing art of tile production. They beheld the transformation of humble raw materials, such as clay and sand, into exquisite, resilient tiles. A cherished moment for many was the chance to touch the freshly crafted tiles, making the lesson not only tangible but also deeply engaging.
Next, they ventured into the cultural and art gallery in Kodialguttu, immersing themselves in the kaleidoscopic realm of local art and heritage. They gazed in wonder at stunning paintings and intricate sculptures, gaining insights into the region’s rich cultural tapestry. The gallery mesmerized the children with its vivid hues and textures, enhancing their appreciation for traditional art forms.

Their final destination was Gandhi Park, where the children revelled in the opportunity to unwind and commune with nature. They meandered along the park’s picturesque paths, savouring the serenity before heading to the playground, where laughter and joy danced in the air as they frolicked on swings and slides. Teachers orchestrated team games, nurturing camaraderie and friendly competition among the students.
This field trip was not just about having fun it provided opportunities for the children to learn outside the classroom. The children delved into nature, engaged in enlightening discussions on environmental conservation, and honed essential social skills such as sharing and taking turns. The outing fostered a profound sense of community and nurtured the children’s appreciation for their surroundings.
By the end of the day, the children were tired but happy, their smiles reflecting the fantastic experiences they had.
