Mangaluru, Nov 7: Students from Grades VI and VII of Carmel School Moodbidri embarked on an educational field trip that provided an exciting blend of medical and publishing insights. The visit to the Manipal Anatomy Department and Manipal Press offered students a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge through practical exposure.

The first stop of the day was the esteemed Manipal Anatomy Department, a hub for learning about the intricacies of the human body. Students were fascinated by the state-of-the-art dissection labs, 3D models, and preserved human specimens that brought anatomy to life. Live demonstrations captivated their interest, providing a clear understanding of human anatomy and giving them a glimpse into the world of medical education.

Following this enriching experience, the students enjoyed a relaxing break at Ajjarkad Park in Udupi, a serene spot where they could unwind amidst nature before proceeding with their journey.

The second half of the trip took them to Manipal Press, where they witnessed the detailed and organised process of book production. From pre-press design to the final stages of printing, the students learned about the technicalities of the publishing world. This behind-the-scenes look into printing technology sparked curiosity and appreciation for the materials they use in their studies, with some students showing newfound interest in the field.

The field trip concluded with the students returning to school, filled with knowledge and reflections on the informative day. The visit was a perfect combination of educational learning and practical exposure, broadening their perspectives in both the medical and publishing fields, making the trip an educational triumph for Carmel School Moodbidri.
