Mangalore: Fire Breaks out in Kadri Police Station, Equipment Damaged

Mangalore, Dec 14: Fire erupted at Kadri police station here on Wednesday December 14, causing an estimated loss of Rs 70,000.

The fire broke out at around 9 am in the first floor, where the computer and electronic equipment are kept. The cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit.

Police constable Gawar first noticed the fire in the morning, but by then the computer, printer, three tables and a chair were already charred.

Gawar called the fire department personnel who rushed to the spot and put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to the entire police station.
