Mangaluru: Bus hits scooter at Lalbagh Junction; rider escapes unharmed

Mangaluru, Dec 13: A private bus collided with a scooter from behind at Lalbagh Junction in the city on Thursday. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The scooter was traveling from the KSRTC bus stand towards Ladyhill Circle when the bus, moving behind the two-wheeler, hit it.

The driver of the bus was unable to control the vehicle, causing the scooter to slide under the bus. Luckily, the bus driver applied brakes in time.

The back portion of the scooter was caught under the front wheel of the bus. The scooter had only one rider at the time of the mishap. The bus was later reversed to safely retrieve the scooter.

    Abolish the private bus cartel in the twin districts of Mangalore &Udupi. If Government buses only ply n the twin districts, then the residents will be the happiest in the country.

    Why no action on private buses daily one accident,bad behaviour,overcharged of tickets,rash driving as well as passengers taken for a ride Police are totally blind to such incidents as this transport services are ruled by big politicians..The people should come out in public and teach them a lesson by starting a campaign to make a better transport services.

    Some kind of proper solution should be found for private bus over speeding. Too many innocent life's have come under private busses in Mangalore for the reason of over speeding! And neither are young two wheelers riders playing it safe..
