Mangaluru, Dec 24: District in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao inaugurated a web portal named Namagagi (Nimma Sahaya Namma Belakige) at the zilla panchayat premises on Monday, December 23, aimed at supporting and reviving government schools in Dakshina Kannada (DK).

The district administration and zilla panchayat have initiated efforts to enhance government schools through this portal, which focuses on developing schools and providing them with basic facilities. The portal is designed to seek public support in improving the condition of government schools.

Details of each government school will be uploaded on the portal, including the specific infrastructure and resources needed. Donors interested in supporting these schools can connect through the portal. The concerned officials will review the request and share the school principal’s contact information with the donor. This streamlined process allows donors to directly provide the required assistance to the schools.

Great initiative to revive government schools which are deminishing due to private school mafia. Government also replicate the initiative started by M Friends Charitable trust , mangalore - Class on wheels project. Their computer bus visit public schools in and around puttur and impart free computer literacy program to government school childrens. This is impacting a lot of young minds education and same should be replicated all over karnataka. Hope the government give more priority for education especially rural and underprevilaged so that education will reach everyone irrespective of their status , religion or finanical condition.
