Brahmavar, Dec 28: The confraternity Sunday celebration was held at Holy Family Church, Brahmavar, as a prelude to the annual feast.

Fr Anil D'Souza, parish priest of St Francis Xavier Church, Udyavara, was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebrations. Fr John Fernandes, parish priest; Fr Mark Saldhana, assistant parish priest; Fr Lenson Lobo; Fr Jokima D’Souza; and Fr Noel D’Almeida concelebrated the Mass.

A procession of the holy sacrament was held, beginning from the church premises, passing through the main road of Brahmavar town, and concluding back at the church.

Donors and patrons were honored with candles during the event.

Fr John Fernandes OFM Cap, parish priest, expressed gratitude to all the donors, sponsors, and faithful for their service and contributions. A prize distribution programme was also conducted.

Michael Furtado, vice president of the parish pastoral committee; Asha Lewis, secretary; and Gretta D’Souza, convener of the 20 commissions, were present on the occasion.

Henjae Kunjal Vado won the rolling shield for various competitions organized by the ICYM and other commissions.

The annual feast will be celebrated on Monday, December 30, with Msgr Ferdinard Gonsalves presiding over the celebrations.
