Bengaluru, Jan 4: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his deep sense of grief and condolences on the demises of eminent scholar and social thinker Prof Muzaffar Assadi and Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha President G C Bayyareddy.
“Prof Assadi was not just a educational professor but had taken upon himself to battle for pro-people struggles and a leader with rational thinking and ideology. Prof Assadi had earned name and fame not just in Karnataka but in rest of India and even abroad,” he said describing Prof Assadi as a personal friend.
The Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha President G C Bayyareddy was a progressive CPM leader, who was always espousing the cause of farmers and had dedicated his life for the welfare of the farming community, Siddaramaiah said.
The Chief Minister said Karnataka has lost two eminent personalities and personal friends.
