Two men end their lives in separate incidents in Udupi, Manipal

Udupi, Jan 14: In two separate tragic incidents reported in Udupi and Manipal, a bank employee and a 28-year-old youth were found dead by suicide.

In Udupi, Gopal Krishna, a resident of the fourth floor of a residential complex, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan. The deceased was employed at a private bank and was reportedly suffering from mental health issues.

In Manipal, a young man residing alone in a rented house on 4th Cross Road, Netaji Nagar, Manipal, was found dead after allegedly hanging himself in his room. The deceased has been identified as Allasab (28), also known as Prakash.

Assistant sub-inspector Jayakar and his team from the Udupi town police station conducted an on-site investigation. Social worker Nityananda Olakadu assisted in transporting the body to the district hospital’s post-mortem center.
