Goa, Feb 6: A recent incident in Goa has sparked widespread debate after two Scottish tourists accused a local nightclub of discriminatory practices against Indian patrons. Robin Alderslowe, a bagpiper and filmmaker, and his friend Ryan Williams, who has a Scottish-Korean background, shared a video on Instagram highlighting the alleged bias.

In the video, the duo is seen entering the nightclub without delay, while Indian locals wait in a long queue outside. Williams comments, "They let us in for free because we're foreigners, but the locals have to wait." Inside the club, Alderslowe, dressed in traditional Scottish attire, plays the bagpipes, further emphasizing their swift entry.

The video has garnered over 200,000 views, igniting a mix of support and criticism. Some viewers expressed disappointment over the alleged preferential treatment, with one user stating, "Asians love treating foreigners better than locals." Another remarked, "It's really sad that this problem isn't just limited to India, but happens in other places too."

Conversely, some defended the nightclub's actions, suggesting that behavior and spending habits might influence entry policies. A user commented, "As a Goan, I can say that we treat foreigners differently purely based on behavior. Indians feel entitled when they spend a little extra money. Think they can do whatever they want."

As of now, the nightclub in question has not issued an official response to the allegations. The incident continues to fuel discussions on social media about discrimination and hospitality practices in popular tourist destinations.
