Mangaluru, Feb 9: A 40-year-old man, identified as Vinod Gatti, drowned on Sunday, February 9, while trying to catch frogs in a river near Harekal Baithar.

After returning from work in Pumpwell, Vinod waded into the muddy water to catch frogs. His foot got stuck, and he was unable to escape, leading to his tragic death.

Vinod, who is a married man, is survived by his wife and a son.
