Bantwal, Feb 11: A fire broke out accidentally at a gunny bag warehouse in Badakabail, Bantwal taluk, on Monday midnight, causing significant losses.
The warehouse, owned by local resident Muhammad alias Monak, was completely gutted in the fire. The flames also spread to the neighbouring houses of Hamid and Sarpuddin. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Firefighters and local residents struggled to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit.

Revenue inspector Vijay R and other officials also visited and inspected the spot.
