Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady

Beltangady, Feb 14: Hidayath, a resident of Sanjayanagar in Beltangady, who was eagerly looking forward to returning home on Friday, tragically passed away in Saudi Arabia late on Thursday night.

Excited about his return, Hidayath had called his friend Rafiq earlier in the day, requesting him to pick him up from Mangaluru International Airport on Friday morning. He was scheduled to depart from Jeddah on a 10:30 pm flight and arrive in Mangaluru at dawn.

However, upon reaching Jeddah Airport by car, he suddenly experienced chest pain. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts, he could not be saved.

Hidayath, known for his singing talent, initially moved to Bahrain for work before relocating to Saudi Arabia, where he was employed at a cargo company.

He is survived by his father Abdul Raqaq, mother Shamshir Banu, wife Reshma, one son, three daughters, and other family members.

Efforts are underway to bring his mortal remains back to his hometown, and further details are expected within a day, according to his childhood friend and SDPI district secretary, Akbar Beltangady.

Very sad news indeed. May almighty give strength to his family and tiny tots to bear the loss. Cardiac arrest is very common in gulf. One of my relatives passed away few years ago. Reason I can think of is stress, very rich food and lack of exercise. People dont do regular annual physical with a physician and check all body parameters (esp. cholestrol )unlike here in USA. I know this since I worked in Dubai many years ago.

Extremely sad news. Stress of the middle east job is enormous coupled with forever uncertainty of job. Also people eat food that is unfamiliar in growing days. Many have retired and within months succumbed in their home towns. RIP to the departed soul. May God give strength and courage to the bereaved family to overcome this sudden vacuum in their lives.
