Udupi, Feb 23: The highly anticipated tourism project, Coastal Paradise, celebrated its grand opening in Sasthana, marking the launch of a state-of-the-art facility that combines luxury with tradition.

The new establishment offers comprehensive services, including boarding, lodging, a conference hall, and a marriage hall, designed to cater to a variety of needs from corporate events to grand celebrations.

The event kicked off with the lighting of the lamp and the official inauguration by Sri Eshapriya Theertha Swamiji. In his address, Swamiji praised the efforts behind the project, stating, "This will be a successful venture with a great deal of effort invested to make it a reality. Not only will this project serve the community, but it will also provide numerous employment opportunities. Even before its completion, many have already gained jobs. People must focus on growing in wealth but also aim to serve society."

Former member of parliament, Jayaprakash Hegde, also spoke at the event, highlighting the need for such a lodge in the area. "This lodge is much needed in Sasthana, as there are no other accommodations in the region. The fact that the directors and managing directors are women ensures good food and cleanliness," Hegde remarked.

He further praised the Karnataka government's initiatives to support women entrepreneurs, referring to the chief minister's budgetary provisions that allow women taking business loans above Rs 5 crore to pay only 4% interest, while others may face rates over 12%. Hegde also mentioned the tourism department’s quick issuance of licenses due to the increasing demand for tourism in the coastal region, noting the shift in people's preferences towards lodges instead of staying in private homes.

The event featured the inauguration of several key facilities, including the Ashirvad Marriage Hall, Anugraha Banquet Hall, Coastal Comforts AC deluxe rooms and suites, and the Coastal Upahar Pure Veg Restaurant, all aimed at providing a superior experience for both leisure and business visitors.

The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Anand C Kunder of Geethananda Foundation, Gopal Bhat, senior civil engineer at AG Associates, and Fr Sunil D'Silva, parish priest of St Antony Church, Sasthana, among others.

The programme was compered by Ashok, while Pratiksha Madhyastha led the prayer, Mahesh M Shetty welcomed the gathering, and Kamalakshi Prakash Udupa gave the vote of thanks.
