Beltangady: Sacred Heart MCom students visit Seon Ashram, distribute Swasth kits

Beltangady, Mar 21: The MCom students and faculty of Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar, embarked on a meaningful visit to Seon Ashram, Gandibagilu, with blessings from Dr Stany Goveas, who praised the initiative, stating, "The hands that help are holier than the lips that pray."

A total of 47 MCom students and four faculty members, including Nelson Monis, coordinator of the MCom department, received a warm and affectionate welcome from the Seon Family. Rithesh, the administrator, shared the inspiring journey of U C Paulose, the founder, who started the ashram in his own home after witnessing the struggles of the destitute. Today, the ashram provides shelter, care, and dignity to those in need.

Students visited the wards, interacting with inmates, and later entertained them with a cultural program filled with songs and dances. A key highlight was the distribution of 535 Swasth Kits worth Rs 66,875, each containing bath soaps, toothpaste, and detergent powder, promoting hygiene and well-being. This initiative received overwhelming support from the public, faculty, and administrative staff.

U C Paulose, along with his wife, Mary U P, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the students’ kindness. The visit left a profound impact, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and service.
