Dubai, Apr 25: Boatman’s Hub, the highly anticipated coastal cuisine concept by the Fortune Group of Hotels, located at Dubai Grand Hotel by Fortune – Al Qusais; officially opened on April 23 with a vibrant celebration that blended tradition, music, and gastronomy in true coastal spirit.
The festivities began earlier in the day with a special visit by Fr Michael Cardoz from St Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai, who offered solemn prayers and blessings, and shared the first meal at the restaurant with Praveen Shetty, chairman of Fortune Group. His heartfelt gesture set a spiritually grounded tone for the day.







































Later in the evening, before the doors opened, a blessing was also offered by Swamiji Bahushrutdas Ji from the BAPS Hindu Mandir, whose prayers brought an aura of peace and spiritual grace to the restaurant.
Later in the evening, the grand ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by an esteemed panel of guests, including Dr Ronald Colaco, entrepreneur and an exceptional philanthropist as the evening’s chief guest. Hussain Abbas Lootah, a close friend of Shetty, Sarvotham Shetty, president – Kannadigas UAE & UAE Bunts and the iconic singer Rita Rose, who also participated in the evening’s musical lineup. Alongside, Prachi Shetty – executive director of Fortune Group of Hotels.
Guests were treated to a captivating evening of live music, highlighted by a soulful performance from Engelbert and Alria, the talented children of legendary Goan singer Alfred Rose, who moved the audience with renditions that honored their father’s musical legacy. Rita Rose took to the stage as well, singing a few nostalgic hits from her celebrated album—receiving warm applause from an enthusiastic crowd.
The Boatman’s Hub delighted guests with an impressive culinary offering by celebrity chef Sarita, specially flown in from Goa - that showcased the best of Mangalurean, Goan, and Malvani flavors.
Live food stations served an enticing spread of grilled seafood, traditional curries, and regional specialties, offering a vibrant coastal feast that was as immersive as it was delicious.
The evening drew an impressive mix of VIP guests, influencers, industry professionals, and food lovers—all of whom praised the restaurant’s ambiance, service, and authenticity.
