Mangaluru, May 6: In connection with the Suhas Shetty murder case, police have questioned two burqa-clad women who were present at the scene when the accused fled in a car after committing the crime.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the women had no direct involvement in the incident. They were identified as the aunt and cousin of Niyaz, the second accused in the case.

According to the police, the women had come to visit a relative residing in a flat in Bajpe due to health concerns. While returning home, they picked up a food parcel from a nearby hotel close to the crime scene. It was then that they noticed Niyaz running along the road. The women told police during questioning that they approached him after witnessing what appeared to be an accident at the spot.
