The event celebrated the successful completion of internships undertaken by 17 students, including 10 from AI&ML, 4 from AI&DS, and 3 from CSE, with IonIdea Interactive Private Limited, providing them with invaluable industry exposure and practical experience.

The chief guest of the event, Chethan Raj, co-founder of Hirify-AI, in his keynote address emphasised the importance of internships as a critical step into the professional world. “At Hirify, we connect skilled talent to meaningful opportunities,” he said.
“Internships aren’t just about learning how to work, they’re about learning how to adapt, communicate, and solve real-world problems. These experiences offer something textbooks cannot, real exposure and hands-on learning, which is truly invaluable.”
Anup Bhargav, guest of honour from IonIdea Interactive Private Limited, Bengaluru, highlighted the program’s impact on student development. He noted that “This programme is more than just a checkbox in a student’s academic timeline. It offers a glimpse into how knowledge meets practice while fostering technical expertise, creativity, accountability, and teamwork,” he added.
Professor Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Educational Institutions, congratulated the interns and praised the institute’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry. “That bridge is where transformation happens, where students become professionals, and ideas turn into action,” he remarked.
Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal of SMVITM, in his presidential remarks, encouraged the interns to consider this milestone as the beginning of a larger journey. “Keep the curiosity alive, stay open to learning, and always aim to add value wherever you go,” he advised.
The event saw the presence of vice principal Dr Ganesh Aithal, deans, heads of departments, section heads, and other faculty members. The programme was coordinated by NagarajaRao, HOD of AI & DS.
The event was a celebration of talent, dedication, and the successful collaboration between academia and industry in preparing students for a dynamic professional world.
