Bantwal: 13th accused arrested in Rehman murder case

Bantwal, Aug 11: Police have arrested the 13th accused in connection with the murder of Abdul Rehman of Kolattamajalu and the assault on Kalandhar Shafi, which took place at Irakodi in Kurniyal village on May 27.

The accused, identified as Ranjith alias Ranju (35), a resident of Pudu village, was taken into custody on August 10. He will be produced before court and may be remanded to police custody for further interrogation.

Earlier, Bantwal Rural police had arrested 12 others in connection with the case, all of whom were interrogated in police custody for several days before being remanded to judicial custody.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and efforts are underway to trace other accused who are still absconding.
