Beltangady, Aug 16: Uncertainty prevails over whether the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will continue its probe on Saturday into the case related to an anonymous complaint alleging that multiple bodies were buried in Dharmasthala village.
On August 15, Independence Day and a government holiday, no operation was carried out. However, sources suggest that on August 16, Saturday, the SIT may conduct its final round of searches to complete the operation.

It is reported that the skull submitted by the complainant is not connected to him, nor does he have any clear information about it. Speculation is rife that someone else may have handed it over. In this context, an investigation into the skull may also take place on Saturday. Whether this will be the final search or more operations will follow remains uncertain.
It is also said that the SIT has gathered information about the anonymous complainant and the forces behind him. Deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, too, raised the issue of a conspiracy in the assembly, which has added weight to these claims.
Overall, clarity on the matter is likely to emerge on Saturday and Monday.
