Panaji, Sep 14: Thirty faculty members from Goa University and affiliated colleges have completed a five-day Academic Leadership Programme (ALP) at the Infosys training centre in Hyderabad from September 8 to 12, aimed at strengthening governance and leadership in higher education.

Organised by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) and the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) in collaboration with Infosys Springboard, the fully residential course supports the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 focus on effective academic leadership.

Professional trainers from Infosys covered modules on communication, teamwork, decision-making, team management, collaborative learning, and leadership strategies. Participants were also introduced to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing, officials said.

The programme concluded with group presentations and evaluations. As a follow-up, the trained faculty will help propagate over 20,000 free Infosys Springboard courses—including AI, time management and personality development—across Goa’s higher education institutions, the DHE added.
