First batch of interns inducted at Yenepoya Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences College and Hospital

Mangaluru, Oct 3: Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences College and Hospital, Ayush Campus, Naringana, under Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), launched its first batch of interns with a formal induction ceremony held on September 27.

The programme was graced by Dr Mahesh Pandit, principal, CARE Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences College and Hospital, Guntur, who served as the chief guest. Dr Nagaraj Shet, assistant medical superintendent, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, was the guest of honor.

The ceremony was presided over by Dr Puneeth Raghavendra, principal, Yenepoya Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences College and Hospital. Dr Abhijna, assistant professor and internship coordinator, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants.

Following the induction, the college hosted a research workshop titled “Research lifecycle: From defining questions to publishing”, aimed at orienting students towards academic research and evidence-based practice in naturopathy and yoga.

This milestone marks a significant step in the growth of Yenepoya’s AYUSH education initiatives, providing budding naturopaths with hands-on clinical experience and research exposure.
