NEET PG 2025 results cancelled for 22 candidates over malpractice and court order

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 10: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cancelled the results of 22 NEET PG candidates, citing use of unfair means and a court directive. While 21 candidates were found guilty of malpractice during the examination, one candidate’s result from the 2025 session was withheld following a Karnataka High Court order.

The NBEMS Examinations Ethics Committee has clarified that the scorecards of all affected candidates, including those from previous years (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024), are now invalid and cannot be used for employment, postgraduate admissions, or any higher education purposes.

The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) said, in a post on X, that after discussions with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the NEET PG 2025 counselling process is expected to commence in the third week of October. The counselling will determine candidates’ allocation to medical colleges and universities across the country.

The NEET PG 2025 entrance exam was conducted on August 3, 2025, in a single shift across 1,052 centres in 301 cities, with over 2.42 lakh candidates appearing for the examination.
