KCA-UK Manchester holds AGM; Sujith Rodrigues re-elected president for 2025–2027

Manchester, Oct 15: The Konkani Cultural Association – UK (KCA-UK), a vibrant and fastgrowing community organisation serving Konkani people across the United Kingdom for the past 21 years, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 4, in Manchester.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from vice-president James Ravi Pinto, followed by president Sujith Rodrigues, who reflected on the year’s milestones and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all committee members, volunteers, and supporters. He highlighted the Association’s continued growth, unity, and strengthened organisational structure.

Secretary Sonal Mendonca presented a comprehensive report summarising the year’s completed activities and outlining future projects aimed at further enhancing the Association’s service to its members and the wider community.

The AGM also included the election of office bearers for the 2025–2027 term. Sujith Rodrigues was re-elected as president. The newly elected committee is as follows:

• President: Sujith Rodrigues

• Vice president: Joseph Santhosh Sequeira

• General secretary: Lawrence Vinod Barboza

• Treasurer: Mario Wilson Cornelio

• Cultural secretary: Sonal Jenisha Mendonca

• Communication coordinator: Vinjoy Rego

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by refreshments and light snacks, marking a pleasant end to a successful gathering.
