Kasargod: St Thomas Church Kollangana Celebrates Parish Feast

Kasargod, Feb 16: The annual feast of St Thomas Church Kollangana, here, was celebrated with devotion and religious fervor recently.

The former parish priest and the director of RUSEMP Community College, Fr Oswald Monteiro, was the main celebrant of the festal Holy Mass along with Kollangana parish priest Fr Vincent D'Souza and other priests from the deanery who were the co-celebrants.

Fr Oswald Monteiro, in his homily, stressed on the need of the communitarian aspect of Christian life. Like the early Christians who lived a community life, we have a call to live the Community life in our families, wards and in the parish, he said.

Fr Vincent D'Souza presented the blessed candles to donors who contributed in organizing the annual feast. He also thanked the parish council vice-president Cornelius Lobo, secretary Cecilia D’Souza and other office-bearers for their support in the parish activities throughout the
year.

A large number of parishioners and devotees from neighbouring parishes attended the festal Holy Mass.

On this occasion, Fr Oswald Monteiro was facilitated by the parish Community for publishing two literary pieces, Badlallo Kaal and Sukti – Bharti.
