Panaji, Nov 14: In a major development in the ongoing cash-for-jobs scandal, accused Pooja Naik has leveled serious allegations implicating a Minister, an IAS officer, and a senior Public Works Department (PWD) official in the irregularities. Naik claimed that the alleged scam took place during the period she was working at a political party’s office, where, according to her statement, recruitment-related manipulations and monetary transactions were being carried out systematically.
Naik’s allegations were made in the presence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa President Adv. Amit Palekar, who was reportedly monitoring the disclosures. She stated that certain appointments and selections within the political and government machinery were influenced by financial considerations rather than merit, suggesting that the irregularities were organized and involved multiple high-ranking individuals.

According to her statement, the activities were not isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern of recruitment-related corruption during her tenure at the political office. She emphasized that these manipulations affected several job aspirants and undermined the fairness of the selection process.
The development has added a new dimension to the case, indicating possible involvement of senior bureaucrats and elected representatives, which could escalate the ongoing investigation. Authorities are yet to respond officially to these fresh allegations, and it remains to be seen whether formal inquiries will be launched against the individuals named by Naik.
Adv. Amit Palekar, present during the disclosure, indicated that the allegations, if substantiated, point to systemic irregularities in the recruitment process and called for immediate action by investigative agencies to ensure accountability.
This latest revelation comes amid growing public and political scrutiny over the cash-for-jobs scandal, which has already seen multiple arrests and legal proceedings. Naik’s statement is likely to intensify demands for transparency and strict action against those found responsible.
