R S Shettian, chairman & managing director of Athena Hospital passes away

Mangaluru, Nov 22: R S Shettian, the chairman and managing director of Athena Hospital and the Athena Group of Institutions, passed away on November 21. He was 65.

Shettian had held various leadership roles in the private and non-profit sectors, including being elected as the national treasurer and trustee for the YMCA of India. He was the first person from Karnataka to be elected the posts of national treasurer of Indian YMCA and trustee of YMCA Karnataka in 158 years history of Indian YMCA movement.

Shettian was a member of CSI Shanti Cathedral, Balmatta. He is survived by wife, children and grand-children.
