Bantwal: Hit-and-run incident at Ramalkatte leaves two-wheeler rider seriously injured

Bantwal, Dec 23: A two-wheeler rider was seriously injured after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Ramalkatte in Bantwal on Tuesday.

The injured has been identified as Usman, a resident of Ramalkatte. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where he is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.

According to information, Usman was returning home after purchasing milk from a shop when an unidentified vehicle rammed into his scooter and fled the spot. The impact of the collision left the scooter completely damaged, and Usman sustained grievous injuries.

Bantwal traffic police visited the scene and have launched efforts to trace the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.
