Karkala: Student of Christ King School selected for district-level Pratibha Karanji

Karkala, Dec 24: Akshar Kumar, grade 9 student of Christ King English Medium School, Karkala, secured first place in the Bhavageethe singing competition and was selected to the district-level.

Akshar Kumar won first place in the taluk-level Pratibha Karanji competition organised jointly by the Department of Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka, the Office of the Block Education Officer, Karkala.

The competition was held at the premises of Christ King Educational Institutions. In other events, K Stuthi Puranik of class 9 won second place in Sanskrit Religious Recitation, while Mohammed Ishan Akbar, of class 9, secured second place in Arabic Religious Recitation.

In the Qawwali competition, the team comprising Rachel D’Souza, Zubeda, Achchu Vidyoparaj Gurukulam of class 10, Anagha V Poojary of class 9, Mohammed Ishan Akbar, and Akshar Kumar secured second place.

In the Kannada Speech competition, Brovyn Agera of the I PUC Science stream won first place, while Keerthan D’Souza of the I PUC Commerce stream secured second place in the English Speech competition.
