Sullia, Dec 28: An autorickshaw overturned into a roadside drain while attempting to avoid a pothole on the Gandhinagar–Aletti road near Gurumpu here.

The autorickshaw, which was heading towards Nagapattana, was trying to swerve past a pothole in the middle of the road when the driver noticed a motorcycle approaching from the opposite direction on the right.

 

In an attempt to avoid a collision, the driver, Anand, turned the vehicle to the left but lost control, causing the autorickshaw to topple into the drain.

A woman passenger travelling in the autorickshaw sustained injuries and was treated. Driver Anand escaped with minor injuries. The autorickshaw was damaged in the mishap.
