Bantwal, Dec 30: A key-handover ceremony was held for a house constructed with the support of benevolent donors under the leadership of young entrepreneur Ronald Martis, through the Sajipa Dasara Centenary Committee, bringing hope to an economically disadvantaged family.

As part of the centenary celebrations of Sharada Pooja Mahotsava and Sajipa Dasara Mahotsava, the Shri Sharada Pooja Mahotsava Subhash Yuvaka Mandal (R), Subhash Nagar, implemented the “Asare Yojane” to support the underprivileged.

Under the initiative, a house was constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 3 lac for the family of Sumana, wife of late Neelappa Moolya, of Kolake in Sajipamooda village of Bantwal taluk. The housewarming ceremony was held on December 29.

Considering the plight of several families living in fear in dilapidated huts without proper shelter, Dubai-based entrepreneur Ronald Martis contributed Rs 2 lac towards the construction of the house. Local donors and village organisations also extended their support, making the project possible and enabling the family to move into a safe and secure home.
