Udupi, Jan 9: The ‘Power’ Platform of Women Entrepreneurs, Udupi district, will be hosting a grand food carnival on January 10 and 11 from 10 am to 10 pm at Ajjarkad Park, Udupi, promising a vibrant mix of food, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
Addressing the media in the press conference held on January 8, Renu Jayaram, founder president of Power said that 'Power' always strives to organise unique events for Udupi. “This food carnival will give a complete carnival feel to Ajjarkad Park. The event will be inaugurated on January 10, with all stalls ready by 10 am. Popular food bloggers will be invited to cover the event. Both days will feature a variety of cultural programs, while a formal event will be held on January 11 at 5 pm,” she said.



Shalini Bangera said the food carnival will also provide opportunities for men entrepreneurs. “The event will have a large number of food stalls along with jewellery and beauty accessories stalls. We are also giving space to small vendors along with hotel businesses,” she added.
The food carnival will feature over 60 stalls offering more than 100 varieties of delicacies, along with over 10 interactive experiences. Visitors can enjoy nonstop entertainment for two days, including DJ music, magic shows, karaoke, dance performances, flash mobs, fun games, and more.
The food carnival will be formally inaugurated on January 10 at 11.30 am by popular food bloggers. The official programme will be held on January 11 at 5.30 pm.
Several dignitaries are expected to attend, including Udupi deputy commissioner Swaroopa T K; member of parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary; Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna; Zilla Panchayat CEO Pratheek Bayal; Municipality commissioner Mahantesh Hangaragi; former minister Pramod Madhwaraj; DIC Udupi Nagaraj V Nayak; Sandhya Kamath of Abharan Group; Hariprasad Rai, chairman of HPR Group of Institutions; former MLA Raghupathi Bhat; Vinod Nayak; Ashok A Bhandage, regional head, UBI Udupi; and Dr A P Achar, CEO, AIC NITTE.
