Mumbai, Jan 17: South Indian star Sai Pallavi, renowned for her remarkable acting, dance skills, and natural beauty, has made her Bollywood debut, captivating audiences right from her first appearance. Known for choosing roles that focus on performance rather than glamour, Pallavi has consistently delivered memorable performances while sending meaningful messages through her characters.

Contrary to popular belief, her first Bollywood outing is not the upcoming Ramayan movie in which she plays Sita. Instead, Sai Pallavi stars in Ek Din, alongside Zunaid Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Filming began in early 2024 but the release was delayed. The teaser for the film has now been unveiled, and Sai Pallavi’s performance has already drawn significant attention.

Directed by Sunil Pandey, Ek Din is a heartfelt romantic drama featuring two Indians falling in love in distant Japan. Much of the film was shot on location in Japan, and the teaser showcases the country’s picturesque landscapes beautifully. Sai Pallavi’s expressions and charm stand out, while Zunaid Khan delivers a promising performance in the teaser. The storyline revolves around a romance that unfolds between the two protagonists over the course of a single day, as suggested by the title.

The film’s music is composed by Ram Sampath. Notably, Ek Din is a remake of a 2016 Thai film. Sai Pallavi, who had previously declined remake projects—including an offer to act alongside megastar Chiranjeevi—chose to take up this project, breaking her long-held tradition of avoiding remakes.

Ek Din is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, marking Sai Pallavi’s highly anticipated entry into Bollywood.
