‘Cult’ trailer unveiled, Zaid Khan in intense avatar

Bengaluru, Jan 18: The trailer of the Kannada film ‘Cult’, starring Zaid Khan, son of Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, along with actors Rachita Ram and Malaika Vasupal, has been released on the Anand Audio YouTube channel.

In Cult, Zaid Khan plays the lead role of Madhav. The trailer reveals that Madhav and Geetha are in love from their college days, but later drift apart due to differences. After being betrayed in love, Madhav turns into an alcoholic. The narrative then introduces Rachita Ram, with whom Madhav develops a friendship that eventually leads to conflict and emotional turmoil.

Rachita Ram is seen in a mass look in the film, while Malaika Vasupal plays the role of a classical dancer. Zaid Khan initially appears as a carefree college student, but later transforms into a rugged and intense character, highlighting a significant shift in his persona.
Produced under the banner of Ashrith Cinemas, Cult features cinematography by J S Wali, music composed by Arjun Janya, editing by K M Prakash and action choreography by Ravi Varma.

A powerful dialogue from the trailer — “Drinking in the name of love might be done by children, but it is the parents who burn inside” — has already started trending and is drawing attention on social media.
