St Aloysius University to host 'SWARANJALI' enchanting choral, orchestral concert on Feb 1

Mangaluru, Jan 29: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, will be hosting SWARANJALI, a choral and orchestral concert of spritual and contemporary music on Sunday, February 1 at 5 pm in the L F Rasquinha Hall of the University.

Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto, SJ, rector of St Aloysius Institutions will be the patron of the programme. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, vice chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) will preside over the programme. The directors of various blocks, deans, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the University and the interested public will be witnessing this music extravaganza.

7 teams from among Mangaluru’s top choirs and orchestras such as – Balmatta Musical Association; St Joseph’s Seminary; CSI Young Voices; Asha Kiran; NEPAM; St Aloysius PU College team and St Aloysius University team along with 2 soloists, Rachel Priyanka Furtado and Ananya Abhigail D’Silva will be participating in this musical extravaganza and are going to present the beauty of sacred hymns and classical melodies merging them with the vibrancy of contemporary harmonies.

SWARANJALI – the musical extravaganza will be headed by Dr Charles V Furtado as the convenor; Dr Roshan F D’Souza and Jyothi S Vaz as the staff coordinators and Reina Sequeira and Anshul D’Souza as the student convenors.

Music has the power to uplift, connect and inspire. SWARANJALI serves as a platform to celebrate harmony through music, featuring a unique blend of spiritual choral renditions and contemporary symphonies. With performances from diverse groups of choirs and musicians, the concert not only promotes cultural appreciation but also fosters a sense of community and togetherness.
