Kasargod: Electric scooter catches fire due to short circuit

Kasargod, Feb 25: An electric scooter caught fire at Anangoor on the outskirts of Kasargod.

A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the incident.

The scooter, belonging to K Suresh from Paravanadka, had been left at a service centre for repairs due to a battery fault. It is reported that the fire broke out while the vehicle was at the facility.

Upon receiving information, fire brigade personnel from Kasargod rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the flames. While the vehicle was partially damaged in the mishap, no injuries were reported.
