Beltangady: Bee attack leaves panchayat worker seriously injured, locals rush to rescue

Beltangady, Feb 28: A panchayat water department worker, Ronald of Sanjayanagar in Beltangady was seriously injured after being attacked by a swarm of bees while repairing a water tank meter at the panchayat premises near Beltangady court.

Eyewitnesses said the attack was sudden and frightening. “I saw him struggling on top of the tank, and the bees were swarming everywhere,” said diving expert Ismail of Sanjayanagar, who rushed to the scene. He drove the bees away and carefully brought Ronald down to safety.

Ronald, who sustained serious injuries, has been admitted to Belthangady Government Hospital for further treatment.

The rescue operation involved local residents, all of whom helped ensure Ronald’s safety.

Police and local officials have praised the quick and courageous action of the rescuers, noting that their prompt intervention prevented what could have been a fatal incident.
