Mangaluru: Election of new office-bearers for Mangalore South St Joseph Vaz deanery held

Mangaluru, Mar 4: The selection process for the new secretary and two representatives of the Mangalore South St Joseph Vaz deanery under the diocese of Mangalore was conducted in a well-organised manner on Tuesday, March 3 in the Permannur Church Hall.

During the election, the deanery secretary and two main representatives were elected unanimously.

Details of the newly elected office-bearers:

• Secretary: Roshan D’Souza (Secretary, Mudipu Church)
• Representative 1: Alwyn D’Souza (Commission Coordinator, Paneer Church)
• Representative 2: Jyothi D’Souza (Secretary, Permannur Church)

The election process was successfully conducted by Fr Cyprian Pinto, dean of Mangalore South deanery.

On this occasion, Fr Victor D’Mello (Paneer Church), Fr Assisi Rebello (Mudipu Church), Fr Jayaprakash D’Souza (Ranipura Church), Fr Joseph Mascarenhas (Fajir Church), Fr Michael D’Souza (Amembala Church), Fr Peter D’Souza (Bola Church), Fr Anthony Lasrado (Nityadar Church), and Fr John D’Souza (Elyar Padavu Church) were present and extended their best wishes to the newly elected office bearers.

Deanery coverage:

The Mangalore South St Joseph Vaz deanery comprises a total of 10 churches: Permannur, Paneer, Nityadar, Ranipura, Elyar Padavu, Fajir, Mudipu, Amembala, Bola, and Vijayadka.
