Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Mar 9: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 12 and March 16, 2026, in several Middle East countries due to the prevailing situation in parts of the region.

According to an official notice issued on Monday, the decision affects CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Students in these regions will not be required to appear for the examinations scheduled during the affected dates.

The board said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure after reviewing the current circumstances in parts of the Middle East. All examinations planned from March 12 (Thursday) to March 16 (Monday) have therefore been deferred. CBSE clarified that revised dates for the postponed examinations will be announced later after assessing the situation.

The board also said it will conduct a review of the situation on March 14, 2026, following which a decision will be taken regarding the examinations scheduled from March 16 onwards.

Students have been advised to remain in regular contact with their respective schools and closely follow official announcements from CBSE for updates regarding the revised examination schedule.

The notice was issued by the Controller of Examinations of CBSE and circulated to the principals of all CBSE-affiliated schools in the affected countries.
