Bantwal: Loretto Central School celebrates UKG Graduation Day

Media Release

Bantwal, Mar 24: Loreto Central School, Loretto, pre-primary section, organised Graduation Day for the UKG students in the school auditorium.

The occasion was graced by school manager Fr Francis Crasta, chief guest Laveena D’Souza, labour inspector of Bantwal, principal Fr Jason Vijay Monis, PTA vice president Rodney Ivan D’Souza, and vice principal Anitha Pais. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by unveiling graduation cap of achievements, revealing the smiling faces of little graduates.

The programme began with a prayer dance by the children. Children welcomed the gathering by a welcome dance. The young graduates, dressed in their graduation attire, looked confident and cheerful, making the event a proud and emotional moment for both parents and teachers.

The chief guest, Laveena D’Souza, honoured the graduates with certificates. In her address, she encouraged everyone to celebrate every small success in life. She reminded parents that children should be supported not only in academics but also in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. She pointed out that no field is greater or lesser than another, as every field offers opportunities for growth and success. She also said that each child is gifted with unique talents and abilities, and parents should recognise, appreciate, and nurture these special qualities.

Principal Fr Jason Vijay Monis in his address said that to achieve something in life, one does not necessarily need wealth, but rather vision, determination, and the proper use of one’s abilities. He emphasised that no child is without talent or potential, and encouraged parents to identify and support their children’s abilities so that they may grow and reach greater heights in life.

On behalf of the parents, Savitha Rodrigues shared her thoughts and expressed her appreciation for the school management, principal, and staff for providing the children with a strong foundation in education, discipline, compassion, care, sharing, patience, and values. She praised the school for shaping the students not only academically but also morally and socially, helping them grow into confident and responsible individuals.

School manager Fr Francis Crasta gave a thought-provoking reflection. He said that people may be able to walk even without light, even in darkness, but they cannot truly lead life without dreams. He encouraged the children to dream big and urged parents to sow the seeds of dreams in the hearts of their children, so that they may strive towards a bright and meaningful future.

Children expressed their opinions about the school and shared their happiness and gratitude.

The programme was coordinated by the pre-primary teachers Jecintha, Jyothi, and Veena.
