Tel Aviv, Mar 27: Israel Katz has warned that Israel will intensify strikes against Iran in response to continued missile attacks, stating that the Islamic republic would pay a “heavy price”.
In a video message, Katz said Israeli forces would expand operations to additional targets linked to Iran’s military capabilities. “Despite the warnings, the firing continues – consequently, IDF strikes in Iran will intensify,” he said, adding that the cost for what he termed a “war crime” would continue to rise.
According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, over 1,900 people have been killed and at least 20,000 injured in Iran since the beginning of joint US and Israeli attacks. The figures were cited by IFRC official Maria Martinez based on data from the Iranian Red Crescent, which remains the primary humanitarian agency operating across the country.

Meanwhile, Yair Lapid warned that the conflict is placing severe strain on the Israeli military. He said the government was pushing the army into a multi-front war without adequate strategy, resources, or personnel.
Lapid’s remarks echoed concerns raised earlier by Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, who cautioned about the growing operational pressure on the armed forces.
