Mumbai, Apr 26: The renewed buzz around the King of Pop has sparked a wave of nostalgia, with celebrities revisiting their admiration for Michael Jackson following the release of his biopic Michael.

Actor Ravie Dubey recently shared a throwback video from his college days, showcasing a dance performance inspired by the legendary performer. The clip, posted on Instagram, dates back to an inter-college festival during his engineering years, where he attempted moves reminiscent of Jackson’s iconic style.

Sharing the video, Dubey humorously noted that “there is a little bit of Michael in all of us,” recalling how such performances were popularly referred to as breakdance at the time.

The biopic, directed by Antoine Fuqua, traces Jackson’s journey from his early days with the The Jackson 5 to global superstardom, including his celebrated “Bad” tour. The film features Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, alongside a notable ensemble cast.

Adding to the wave of memories, veteran actor Anupam Kher also shared a personal recollection of meeting Michael Jackson during the singer’s visit to India in 1996. Describing the moment as unforgettable, Kher said shaking hands with the icon felt “like touching a piece of magic,” calling him not just an artist but an experience.

The resurgence of interest highlights the enduring global influence of Michael Jackson, whose legacy continues to inspire fans and artists across generations.
