New Delhi, May 15: Rapper Ye’s much-awaited India debut concert in New Delhi has been cancelled after organisers said authorities issued security-related directives.
The concert had been scheduled for May 23, 2026, and was expected to mark the artiste’s first-ever performance in India.
Organisers said the event would not proceed following instructions from government and law enforcement agencies citing concerns over public safety and security.

Event management company White Fox announced the cancellation through an official statement shared on Instagram.
“We are deeply disheartened to announce that Ye Live in India, scheduled for 23rd May 2026 in New Delhi, will not be able to proceed due to directives issued by officials,” the statement said.
The organisers said extensive planning had gone into what was expected to be one of the largest live music productions staged in India.
“After months of planning and preparation for what was set to be one of the largest live productions ever staged in India, the safety and well-being of attendees and the citizens of India remain our highest priority during this sensitive time,” the statement added.
White Fox also thanked fans, partners, crew members and supporters associated with the event.
The organisers said discussions were ongoing with Ye’s management team regarding the possibility of announcing a new date and venue for the concert in the future.
Alongside the cancellation announcement, the organisers confirmed that all tickets purchased through the official ticketing platform District would be fully refunded within five to seven business days.
The concert had already faced one postponement earlier this year.
Initially scheduled for March 29, 2026, the event was deferred due to geopolitical tensions and wider regional concerns linked to the ongoing US-Iran conflict situation.
The concert was later rescheduled for May 23 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The cancellation marks another setback in Ye’s international touring plans, with several overseas concerts reportedly facing disruptions in recent months because of logistical issues and controversies linked to some of the rapper’s past public statements.
