Mangaluru: Malabar Gold & Diamonds marks 20th anniversary with mega blood donation camp

Mangaluru, May 20: As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Mangaluru, organised a mega blood donation camp at its showroom on Tuesday.

Tulu Sahitya Academy president Taranath Gatti, who attended the programme as chief guest, extended his wishes to the Malabar Gold & Diamonds team and highlighted the importance of blood donation.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that while gold can be purchased when required, blood cannot be bought, and only human beings can save another life by donating blood.

HIF Medical Wing chief Rizwan Pandeshwar lauded the social commitment and community contributions of the Malabar organisation during his address.

Entrepreneur Malcolm Veigas conveyed his best wishes for the initiative.

KMC doctor Dr Ranjita Rao spoke about the significance of voluntary blood donation and the need to create greater awareness among the public.

During the programme, regular blood donors including Sudhakar Rai, Nizamuddin Hakim, Ritesh Shetty U, Toufeeq Kulai and Anil Pathrao were felicitated in recognition of their contribution to society.

Blood Donors Mangaluru founder-president Siddiq Manjeshwar, Hafeez Rehman, store head, Ahmad Nazar, deputy branch head, Raghuram, branch manager, Girish Rai, sales manager, Farhan, marketing manager, along with staff members, were present.
