Raja Singh urges Goa govt to identify illegal Rohingya, Bangladeshi immigrants

Panaji, May 23: T Raja Singh has urged the Goa government to conduct a survey of Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants residing in the state and take action against those staying illegally.

Addressing mediapersons in Goa, Raja Singh said illegal immigrants, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis living in the state without valid documents, should be identified and deported.

He stated that the government should undertake a proper verification process to determine the number of such immigrants residing in Goa and initiate legal action against individuals found staying in the state illegally.

Raja Singh also stressed the need to preserve Goa’s cultural and historical identity. He suggested that the state government establish a dedicated museum showcasing Goa’s history, heritage and legacy for future generations.
