Youth working in Israel dies of electrocution in Puttur

Puttur, May 26: A 29-year-old youth from Belur, who was working in Israel and had recently returned home on vacation, died after suffering an electric shock at Bolumbude in Nidalli village on the night of May 24.

The deceased has been identified as Roshan Pinto (29), son of Joachim Pinto, a resident of Ankihalli in Belur.

According to reports, Joachim had come along with his wife and two children to the house of their relatives at Bolumbude in Nidalli. After dinner, Roshan reportedly went to the washing area, where he accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire and collapsed after suffering an electric shock.

He was immediately shifted to the Puttur Government Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Roshan was employed in Israel and had come to his native place on leave. He had recently built a new house, which was inaugurated earlier this month.

He is survived by his parents and sister. Funeral rites were held at Sakleshpur.
